By now, maybe you heard about this Açai bowl that health buffs and sweet tooth people are raving about thats now easily accessible as numerous stores offers it throughout the island.
Açaí na tigela (“açaí in the bowl”) is a typical Brazilian dish made of frozen and mashed açaí palm fruit. It is served as a smoothie in a bowl or glass, and is commonly topped with granola and banana, and then mixed with other fruits and guaraná syrup. Açaí is popular all over Brazil and has been my go to guilt-free dessert and even a meal here in Singapore.
Did you know you that Açai of provides clean energy and a feeling of satisfied lightness? Try it yourself with this easy 4-ingredient recipe for a delicious, energising, high-antioxidant, superfood meal.
- 1 medium-sized frozen banana
- 1-2 heaped tablespoons Acai Berry Powder
- 1 tablespoon nut butter (almond, cashew, cookie butter etc.)
- 1/3 cup iced water
- Cut strawberries (or other fresh fruit)
- Sweet Cacao Nibs or Pumpkin Seeds or Chia Seeds (optional)
Blend the frozen banana, acai berry powder, nut butter and iced water until a smoothie-like consistency is achieved. Top with strawberries or other fresh fruits. Sprinkle with Sweet Cacao Nibs (optional) for that yummy chocolatey bite!
